Treponema pallidum (Tp) is a spirochaete bacterium responsible for several diseases, including syphilis, bejel, and yaws. It exclusively spreads among humans. This helically coiled microorganism typically measures 6–15 μm in length and 0.1–0.2 μm in width.
Two specific proteins, Treponema pallidum p17 and p47 (Tp17 and Tp47), play a crucial role in serological detection of syphilis. These highly immunogenic outer membrane lipoproteins react strongly to human anti-syphilis antibodies.
Our recombinant Treponema pallidum (Syphilis) p17/p47 fusion protein (RA10191 & RA10196) comprises the complete sequences of Tp17 and Tp47. We have successfully expressed these proteins in their native format using E. coli and purified them through affinity chromatography. Unlike many similar products on the market, ours are not refolding proteins. The price for these two proteins is $250 per milligram, and we also offer substantial bulk discounts.
